I have been doing camp since 2017! My biggest challenge has been learning American Culture, which is very different to South Africa, but it's the most fun I've ever had in my life!
The first time I attended camp I was a General Camp Counsellor and this year I was the Arts & Crafts Specialist! Going to camp was a bit of a culture shock, but it unlocked a new passion to teach and work with kids!
Working at camp taught me patience, teamwork and self-control. Being at Camp is so exciting and rewarding, there's aways someone to help! My favourite camp tradition was 4th July celebrations!

Spending four summers working at an under-served summer camp has made me grateful in many ways and taught me the importance of creating opportunities for all children.
